Marina focuses her communication workshops based on the needs of her clients. In the past,  she developed and executed workshops on communications strategy, ethical use of social media, storytelling and public speaking.

Case study: Training Sport for One Humanity initiative

In 2023, Marina became an Advocacy and Communications Trainer for the Sport4OneHumany initiative run by the United Nations and Turkish Airlines. The goal of the project was to provide capacity-development training for ten grassroots sports-based organizations from North Macedonia, Cameroon, Jordan, Uganda, Philippines, Vietnam, Mexico, India, Pakistan and Kenya.

Marina co-developed ten tailored training modules that focused on communication, fundraising and M&E (Monitoring & Evaluation).

 

Before the launch of the program, Marina drafted a questionnaire and carried out a communications audit of all participating organizations in order to assess their training needs. Marina led sessions on public relations, creative use of social media, ethics and inclusivity.

In order to prepare organizations for the International Day of Sport of Development and Peace (April, 6), Marina developed a detailed brainstorming workshop to help participants exchange their ideas and come up with a comprehensive communications plan that would be impactful in their respective regions.

 

In addition, she carried out one-on-one mentoring sessions with communications staff of each organization providing them with individual advice.
