Teaching
At the University of Colorado Boulder, Marina teaches a variety of courses including Media Relations, Social Media Storytelling, Writing for the Media, Sports Journalism and Gender, Sports Journalism, Media and Society.
In her teaching, she uses a students-centric approach that focuses on hands-on tasks and real-life scenarios. Marina often showcases her professional work and exposes her students to the critical thinking problems a communication professional is facing on a daily basis. She also encourages her students to be open for feedback and to look for ways to grow and improve due to a fast-changing pace of the industry. Marina strives to create a supportive, inclusive and engaging environment in her classroom.
